Be a bird!
In the lane, try to position your soldiers between the enemy's minions and the enemy champion. This way you can use them both to last hit and to project threat onto your lane opponent.
Be careful about putting down both of the soldiers stored by Arise! Unless you're going all-in, always have a soldier in your back pocket if you need to escape over a wall or if you misposition your other soldier and need damage now.
Think of Emperor's Divide as a defensive ability first and foremost. Use it when the enemy engages on you or your allies. Remember that your team can walk through the soldiers summoned by Emperor's Divide and use this to your advantage when enemy melee champions engage on you.
If you have trouble landing Prismatic Barrier, remember that it returns to you after it reaches max range. Try positioning yourself to hit your allies with its return trip.
Lux has great zone control abilities. Try to set up Lucent Singularity to prevent an enemy's advance or escape.
Lucent Singularity is a great scouting tool. Try throwing it into brush before walking into it to check for ambushes.
The Azir Lux synergy stats shown here demonstrate the areas of his gameplay that do better (or worse) when paired with Lux, compared to his overall stats. Significant differences are areas of focus that highlight how his gameplay changes when paired with this other champion.
Overall, Azir sees a large worsening in his KDA (ratio of kills and assists to deaths) when paired with Lux. His KDA worsened from NaN to NaN. This decrease shows that Lux helps Azir perform poorer in ranked League of Legends games. Yet, the small difference demonstrates that this performance change is only marginal.
When Azir is paired with Lux, he sees a small decrease in his total damage output. This change could demonstrate that Lux does not provide protection for him to deal more damage or that her presence also helps increase the round's duration. Similarly, when Azir is played together with Lux on the same team, he usually scores many fewer killing sprees compared to when he plays on his own. This is contrasting evidence that he is worse when playing with Lux.
Moreover, when Azir plays with Lux on the same side, he on average receives a little more damage than when he fights alone. Taking more damage may mean that Lux does a poor job of covering Azir during team fights.
There is no one best companion for Azir that will 100% of the time be his #1 ally. Yet, Lux is a relatively poor teammate for Azir. By locking into the same side as Azir, she drops their win rate by -1.9% to 48.3%. This shows that there is a negative synergy between Azir and Lux that allows them to perform not as well together than without each other.
Lux has a much lower diffuclty than Azir. That means Azir players don't need to be very careful when arranging Lux allies to play with, as they will need a much lower level of skill to cooperate well with you.
