Fighting on the same side, Ekko players will likely observe an overall large increase in your team’s ability to provide utility and CC for your side. Together, these two should be able to manipulate the pace of team fights.
In contrast, by grouping Ekko and Vex together, you may not be granting your other teammates very much tankyness. We recommend you have other champs on your team that offsets this hole in their abilities.
