While laning, try to use Death's Hand's piercing damage to damage opponents from a safe distance.

There is no ideal ally for Swain that will no matter what be his top teammate. Yet, overall, Aphelios is a not very good ally for Swain. By locking into the same team as Swain, he lowers their win rate by -1.1% to 50.2%. This clearly indicates that there is a negative bond between Swain and Aphelios that results in them performing not as well together than alone.
Aphelios has a greater difficulty than Swain. That means Swain players need to be very careful when lining up Aphelios teammates to go into battle on the same side as, as they will need a greater level of skill to fight well with you.
Fighting cooperatively, you will likely see an overall large increase in your team’s ability to to do a lot of AP damage. Together, these two can deal quite a lot of AP type damage.
Although, by pairing Swain and Aphelios together, you will not be providing your side enough crowd control. Make sure to pick other champs on your team that neutralizes this relative disparity in their abilities.
